Part of the Progression series:

Quick Answer

  • The daily core: queues full, officers appointed, free recruits claimed, alliance donated and helped, Ruins rallied twice, gathering dispatched, VIP claimed.
  • The rule that catches everyone: your mobility should never be sitting at 100 — a full bar means you've been wasting regeneration.
  • Never collect early during event phases; points credit on completion, not effort.
  • Weekly fixtures to protect: Medici Monday, boss Tuesday and Friday, Infinite Zombies Friday, kill event Sunday.
  • Ten disciplined minutes a day beats a weekend binge, permanently. This is the whole game.

The Ten-Minute Routine

Do these every login. None of them are optional if you intend to keep up with your server.

1. Restart every queue. Building, research, training — anything idle is progress you're donating to the rest of your nation. This is the first-week habit that never stops applying, and it's what makes your Development research bonuses actually pay.

2. Appoint the right officers before each action. Construction Director before a build, Doc Gray before research, recruitment officers before training, Saki at march launch, combat lineup before fights. Bonuses snapshot when the timer starts — this is free value most players leak daily (officer types).

3. Claim your free officer recruits. Duplicates convert to fragments, so nothing is wasted. Check today's rally-pack lineup — the day of the week decides which officers are available.

4. Donate to alliance tech, post for help, click help for others. Two taps, permanent shared buffs, and the alliance store contribution that buys cheap speedups. Post wounded promptly too — healing help has a daily cap.

5. Rally the Ruins twice, and explore them. Alliance Tech Chips fund alliance research; refugee rescues raise Prosperity, which buffs your gathering and upgrades permanently. Do the explores even when refugees are capped (Ruins guide).

6. Dispatch gathering marches — full marches, best tiles. Send long gathers before you log off; re-send on collection. This is the single biggest income lever a free account has (resource guide, gathering troops).

7. Claim VIP and daily rewards. Small, relentless, compounding — the VIP guide's whole argument.

8. Check your safety. Before logging off: resources spent down, troops hidden or marching, shield up if it's a dangerous window. Ask the veteran's question — if a rally launched the moment I close this app, what dies?

The Mobility Rule

The one most players never learn: mobility regenerates and caps out, and a bar sitting at 100 means you've been wasting regeneration for hours. Veterans treat a full mobility bar as an error state.

The standard sinks are Ruins explores and rallies and zombie hunting. Dump into them whenever the bar creeps up, and you convert a resource that silently expires into Tech Chips, Prosperity, and — during the right week — Attack Monsters phase points.

The Weekly Layer

Daily habits compound; weekly fixtures pay out. Protect these:

Day What
Monday Medici's Treasure — bring zombie troops, push your floor record
Tuesday Doom's Iron Grip — full army, no limits (boss guide)
Friday Mother of Doom + your one real Infinite Zombies run
Sunday Kill event — posture decided midweek, never improvised
Any day Whatever Strongest Commander phase is live — release your banked completions

Friday is the busiest fifteen minutes of the week: boss event, Infinite Zombies best-score run, and the weekly reset all stack. Set a reminder.

The Two Rules That Govern Everything

Bank, then release. Speedups, near-complete upgrades, deep training queues, material burns — hold them for the phase or bounty window that scores them. The same work, done on the right day, counts twice. That's not a trick; it's the core economy of this game.

Never collect early. Points credit on completion — a queue claimed one second inside a phase scores the whole batch, and the same queue claimed an hour early scores nothing. It applies to buildings, research, training, and gathering alike.

Why Ten Minutes Wins

The accounts at the top of a server's rankings after a year are almost never the ones that played the hardest. They're the ones whose queues never idled, whose speedups only got spent on scoring days, and who never fed a kill event. Every item on this page is small enough to feel skippable and compounds hard enough that skipping it is what actually costs you the year — which is the same case the power guide and the F2P guide make from different angles.

Ten minutes. Every day. That's the strategy.
