Part of the Events series:

Quick Answer

  • Mother of Doom runs every Friday after server reset, for 24 hours; its sibling, Doom's Iron Grip, runs the same format on Tuesdays.
  • The two rules that define it: no army-size limit (send everything), and a fixed 15-second march time no matter where the boss sits.
  • Ranking is pure damage dealt — and the official guidance on formation is refreshingly blunt: there isn't one; send your full army.
  • During the event, three damage-boost items appear in the bag shop — buying one is the documented edge for chasing top ranks.
  • Rewards include Titan-development materials (Creature Modify Fluid among them), making Friday part of your Titan pipeline.

The Simplest Event in the Game (On Purpose)

Most of this handbook preaches nuance — ratios, timing, restraint. Mother of Doom is the calendar's holiday from all of it. A boss appears; you hit it with the largest thing you can assemble; the leaderboard measures the dent. The no-army-limit rule removes composition anxiety (every troop you own contributes), and the 15-second march removes geography — nobody gets an advantage from living next door to the boss.

That leaves exactly three levers, which is what makes the event a clean weekly audit of your account:

  1. Total army size and tier — the troop program's report card.
  2. Buffs active when you hit — officers, boosts, and the event's own shop items.
  3. How many hits you land in the window — attendance, the oldest stat in the game.

Squeezing Out Maximum Damage

  • Heal first. No-limit means every wounded troop is missing damage. Empty the Hospital before your first strike — this is also a legitimate moment for Doc Gray's Emergency Medicine if Friday catches you freshly wounded.
  • Full combat lineup, full buffs. The Warfare Trinity and every attack boost you'd bring to a real war — the boss doesn't hit back like one, but the leaderboard scores like one. Use the Saki launch-swap for the bigger fleet where it applies.
  • Buy one of the three shop damage items if you're chasing rank. They surface in the bag shop only during the event, and the community treats one purchase as the price of a top placement. Milestone-hunters can skip them; rank-hunters can't.
  • Hit early, hit often. A 24-hour window with a 15-second march means the only reason to score low on attempts is forgetting. Set the Friday alarm — it's already the busiest day of the week with the Infinite Zombies reset stacked on top.

Solo Challenge, Not a Rally

Worth stating because boss events elsewhere train the other instinct: the evidence points to Mother of Doom as an individual full-army challenge, not an alliance rally — your damage, your ranking. Coordinate with your alliance for buffs and reminders, but don't wait on a rally call that isn't coming. (Event formats do get retuned; if your version shows rally mechanics, trust the screen in front of you.)

Tuesday's Twin

Doom's Iron Grip runs the identical format each Tuesday — same reset timing, same 24 hours, same send-everything logic. Treat this guide as covering both; between them, the week gives you two clean boss audits, and improvements you make to army size, tiers, and buff discipline show up on both boards within seven days. It's the fastest feedback loop in the game for the question "did my account actually get stronger this week?"

Why Friday's Rewards Matter

The reward track feeds late-game systems — Creature Modify Fluid is confirmed in the pool, which makes Mother of Doom a standing appointment for anyone running the Titan program. Between this, Medici's uranium and Titan materials, and the Alliance Bounty material loop, the weekly fixtures quietly fund the systems the packs charge for. Show up, hit hard, collect — the least complicated bargain on the calendar.
